Build in public and engage with others

November 2, 2022

Why no code?

No code is the quickest way to build a product and validate your idea. You don’t need to spend thousands of dollars on developers and you can put something out there in a couple of hours.

What was the first product you built and how successful it is?

The first product I built using no-code was techyletters.io which is a tech newsletter directory. I’m not sure if I would call it successful, but it took 2 hours of my time and currently showcases many awesome tech newsletters.

The most successful product you build?

The first product that I was able to sell was Startup without code where I made 20 presales without an audience. It was created for people who want to quickly build and validate an MVP without code.

What are you building now?

Currently, I’m trying to find solutions to make homeschooling easier for mothers. I’m still studying the market to hone in on their pain points.

What made you become an indie hacker?

I was really interested in making passive income and wanted to create a product of my own. I was really interested in building in public and documenting my journey for others to learn more about everything from building to marketing your product

Where do you get inspiration for your products?

I get inspiration from problems I run into in my own life. I pay attention to the times I say, “I wish there was such and such a product to solve my problem.”

As a mom how is your work process to work more productively?

Timing is everything. The best time to be productive is whenever I get to be on my laptop without too many distractions. It’s easier said than done, but for me, that’s usually at night when everyone is asleep.

Favorite tool?

My favorite tool is carrd it’s a really quick way to get a website up and the design is really nice!

Word of advice?

My advice is to:

  1. Build in public and engage with others under Twitter threads
  2. Be helpful and supportive
  3. Promote your product as you build

Question for next guess ( Kyle Krzeski )?

Why did you choose your product and does it match your original vision?
